h Liedtke —Division G Member of the Month

Rich is our club's Sergeant at Arms and he makes it his duty to
greet at the door each person who attends our meetings. If it is a
guest he introduces himself and then introduces the guest to a
member who makes sure the guest is made welcome. Rich has
volunteered to fill open spots on the agenda many times. He is
also responsible for spearheading our September month of
storytelling, which has encouraged all of our members to become
involved and has proved to be an enormous success.

Other honored nominees for October were:

Allison Coffin , Salmon Speakers—Alli has stepped up to the plate and taken on roles last minute.
She was also an integral part of our Humorous speech and Table Topics contests, serving as Chief
Judge and assisting the contest chair in any way possible. Alli has always been a mentor for the club
and acts as a role model for everyone. In every way she has made Salmon Speakers a supportive and
positive environment with guests feeling welcome and members showing tremendous improvement
in their communication and leadership skills, as well as improvement in their self-confidence
that comes from learning and growing.
Rusty Lee, Leader’s Edge—Rusty truly exemplifies Ted Corcoran's statement that we come
to Toastmasters to learn, but we stay to teach. Rusty consistently provides rich content,
encouragement, and effective feedback with every role he takes.
Bertrand Hui , Scan Eagle—I wanted to nominate Bertrand (Bert) Hui
(Bertrand.Hui@insitu.com) for his willingness to work on cleaning up the way Scan
Eagle Toastmaster’s bank account was originally set up. It has been a difficult
and thankless task and I would like to recognize his efforts.
Jenna Lanette Austin, Ilwaco Toastmasters—On Wednesday October 1,
2014 Jenna went into her dentist's office and had a Root Canal. That
evening she determined to be at the meeting and be an active
participant. Never a word of complaint passed her lips.
