D7 7 Q&A

           1. What brought you to Toastmasters and why did you join?

I needed practice. I saw a senior salesman give a presentation then saw the Jr Sales guy and I felt sorry
for him. I wanted to make sure I was not a Jr level presenter. A coworker had already invited me to her
Toastmasters Club for her speech. That’s how I first heard about Toastmasters. I knew where to go.

           2. How have you applied what you learn in Toastmasters to your job or everyday life?

I’m not as afraid to teach a class as I would have been before. For example, when my two-up
manager asked me to train my peers I did not even blink.

           3. What do your friends and family think of you being in Toastmasters?

Hubby thinks it’s weird but doing my best to improve myself. He’s an engineer and codes for a living.
           Hah!

           4. What goal have you achieved in Toastmasters that you are proudest of?

I had my birthday one club meeting day and held 5 roles that day, including board roles.

           5. What is the next goal you would like to achieve?

My goal is to get my flower transplants to survive the winter.

           6. What winter activities do you enjoy most?

Sitting by the fire while laughing as the wind howls and the rain pelts the pavement.

           7. If you were snowed in, what is one thing you would like to be sure to have with you?

           Wood.
Lots of wood. We have a wood stove and when the power went out, we were fine for warmth.
