Kathleen Tully—Division E Member of the Month

Our club could not run without Kathleen’s strong leadership and gentle encouragement. Currently
our President and VP of PR, she has served in all key officer
roles and exemplifies service leadership that benefits others.
In her trademark colorful jackets, and with her glasses perched
atop her head, she welcomes members and guests alike with
ease and genuine interest. As an officer she puts the club first.
During meetings she is famous for delivering helpful feedback
that makes members eager to keep growing. She is the heart
and soul of our recognition efforts to reward achievement. For
our annual open house, no one does more to set a festive
mood by bringing food and decorations.
She is a consummate role model due to her willingness to
volunteer, her ability to help members progress and her genuine concern for every
person. Kathleen is close to earning her DTM, with just a few projects left to complete. This year
she is dedicating many hours to mentoring Toast To US Toastmasters at US Bancorp in Tigard as
this new club works to reach charter strength.
Ever calm, always professional, Kathleen is a role model for a modern Toastmaster. Here are
some of the things fellow Toastmasters say about her:
“I’ve had the privilege of knowing Kathleen through our Toastmasters club for several years. She is
one of the most magnanimous women I know. She is generous with her advice, lessons learned
and time. I appreciate her willingness to coach new members and value her continued support of
our club.”
“Kathleen is a completely amazing mentor. She is positive, caring, warm, intelligent, funny,
encouraging and just all around dedicated to helping our club develop into the best Toastmasters
club we can be. We are so lucky to have her and so appreciative of her wise stewardship.”
Other honored nominees for September were:

Tess Daniel, Toastmasters for Speaking Professionals, was nominated by her club members for
creating the Fast Trackers program running it, AND gave many speeches outside the
club, leading to our club becoming President's Distinguished.
Bob La Du, Molalla Toastmasters, as club coach, Bob goes out of his way to make
the lengthy drive to our weekly meeting. He has extended himself to the
community to encourage membership in our club. He always brings positive
energy to our meetings. And while Bob does so much to help our small club, we
recognize that he puts the same time and energy into other clubs. His efforts are
greatly appreciated by Molalla Toastmasters and we are honored to have him as

our club coach.
Lisa Hutton, Marylhurst Toastmasters, lead the planning for the District 7
conference this year, and it was an amazing well organized event. She is
always early to our meetings and is able to quickly line up the
members to support a optimized meeting with all roles filled. She
is great at impromptu speaking and activities that relate to
leading our club. Recently we had a crisis that the officers
