CONTEST ESSENTIALS

HOW MANY CONTESTANTS MOVE TO NEXT LEVEL?

For 2024-2025, clubs in Areas with 4 or fewer clubs may send two contestants for each contest type (International and Evaluation Speech contests) to the Area Contests. Areas in Divisions with 4 or fewer Areas may send two contestants for each contest type to the Division Contest. At the Division level, each Division may advance only one contestant for each contest type to the District contests.

2024 -2025 Contest Events

The International Speech Contest is held every year. In addition to this, District 7 is holding an Evaluation Contest.

Each contest is a separate event with its own contestants and functionaries.


October 1 – December 28, 2024	Club Contests
January 1, 2025 – February 15, 2025	Area Contests
February 16, 2025 – March 29, 2025	Division Contests
May 16 & 17, 2025	District Contests

Why Speech Contests

Speech contests are a Toastmasters tradition. Each year, we seek to identify and recognize members with outstanding public speaking skills, and ultimately award the title of “World Champion of Public Speaking”. Besides being fun, it recognizes excellence, inspires our members, and draws attention to our organization.
