Step 1: As a D7 Toastmasters member, you may view and select from all of the videos at the page below.

Step 2: Then, click on the Google Form link available at the videos page to vote for your winner selections for this Tall Tales Video Extravaganza!

Each D7 may vote one time per category, as below. 1st, 2nd, and 3rd place winners will be awarded by the plurality of votes cast.

Voting will close at 11:59 PM Pacific on 11/22/23. Results will be announced on 11/25/23.

Who doesn’t like a tall tale? Starting on October 1 and running until November 7, this fun video extravaganza will help speakers warm up for the International Speech Contest.

*** By popular demand, now each club member can submit videos to win in three categories. Yes, now a member can have entries in all three categories!

• Scariest Story (1st, 2nd, 3rd place)

• Funniest Tale (1st, 2nd, 3rd place)

• Most Whimsical (1st, 2nd, 3rd place)

What are the rules? D7 club members can submit an entry in one or all of the three categories. All entries must be certified as original. The video with the most votes wins. What do you win? Recognition, fame, and social media buzz for you and your club

All videos must be submitted to Dave Bones, DTM, D7 Program Quality Director by midnight on November 7. (Video submissions are now closed.)

Ways to submit video submissions (timing from 3-5 minutes):

1. Use Zoom to record the video to the cloud, and send the direct download link from your “Recordings” within your Zoom account

2. Or, send a YouTube link, with embedding enabled

3. Be sure to include your name, speech title, intended category, and club name you are representing

We will then post all videos on the page below, using either an embedded video from your YouTube account, or from the D7 channel if you send the direct download link from your Zoom account.

Voting will take place from November 8 through November 22. The winners of all three categories will be announced on November 25.

This video extravaganza competition is not an official contest, and all Toastmasters members may participate, except for the D7 Trio.
