District Speech Evaluation Champions

by Phyllis Harmon, DTM

Following an inspirational speech L to R: Gideon For-Mukwai, Shani Fox, James Wantz
given by Becky Holm, District Public
Relations Manager, at the District 7
Spring Conference: Leading the World,
on May 7th, 9 contestants evaluated
her speech for content, delivery, and
impact. While all the contestants
provided Becky with pointers and
techniques to improve her speech,
James Wantz, Shani Fox, and Gideon
For-Mukwai caught the attention of the
judges and walked away with District
trophies—James Wantz 1st place,
Shani Fox, 2nd place, and Gideon
For-Mukwai 3rd place.

    Congratulations to everyone who
fought their way to the District stage
through similar contests in their clubs,
areas, and divisions.
