Even at the Club Level

Attendees will leave this session so excited about contests they will hardly be able to wait
until they can put these useful tips into practice. Topics covered will be venues, helpers,
glitches, rules, and all the other fine details of hosting a contest.

About the Presenters
Alexis has been a Toastmaster since 2000. She has served the district in many of the lead-
ership opportunities, including as district governor in 2006-2007. She has been awarded 6
DTM’s. She says Toastmasters has changed her life, from being a self-conscious person to
being a speaker, author, coach and storyteller.

Simon has been a Toastmaster since 2006. He has served in several club officer roles in-
cluding VP of Education and Club President. He is a charter member of Eco Voices where
he is currently a member. He served as 2010-11 Area 94 Governor, and was the 2010-11
Area Governor of the Year receipient. He is currently serving as the District 7 Contest
Chair.
