Great Social Media Tool

I just heard about a great social media tool,
nextdoor.com. My club meets near my home. I signed
up for a free account. This way I can keep track of happenings in
my own neighborhood. I set up my profile then posted this:

What if there was a way to improve your speaking and leadership skills? What
if you could do it on your way to work? Toastmasters is the answer. We meet every
Wednesday from 6:40 am - 8:00 am. Drop by and see what we are all about, visitors
are always welcome.

I followed it with the address. Within a few hours I had two great responses; both
people will visit our club. It couldn’t have been easier.

If you live near a Toastmasters Club I urge you to see if nextdoor.com includes
your neighborhood. If you don’t attend that club you could still post on their behalf.
It’s all about spreading the word.
