Do you have a twinkle in your eye and feel better
after your Toastmasters meeting? Are you and your
club members building your communication and
leadership skills? If you answered yes to all these
questions you are having a dynamic club
experience.
Practical information, a strong dose of reality and a
generous smattering of humor provided by Lance
Miller resulted in members rating this TLI one of the
best they had attended in years. Lance Miller, DTM
has been a Toastmaster for 22 years. He is the 2005 World Champion of Public Speaking.
He was invited to TLI to share his message
on how his club went from 12 to 95
members, a club that struggled to a club
ranked #4 in the world.
What constitutes a dynamic club
experience? It’s a good venue where guests
are welcomed and recognized and the
atmosphere is fun and friendly. Meetings
start and run on time. Most importantly the
members are winning. They are successfully
completing their manuals while improving their speaking and leadership skills.
Lance recommends employing several marketing strategies to promote your club and
bring in guests. Hang out a sign, have an up to date club website, use social media,
