Anne Machalek I originally joined Toastmasters because I had
a difficult time "thinking on my feet." Table Topics is definitely a
cure for that. I also had difficulty organizing my thoughts and I was
all over the board in my answers. Toastmasters gave me the skills to organize what
I have to say and I am grateful. Currently, as a communicator, I'm working on Anne Machalek
trying to be less serious and see the funny side of events. That is proving to be a ACG, ALB
stretch for me. I am the President of the Siuslaw Tale Spinners as well as the Area 34 Governor
Area 34 Governor. As club president and Area Governor, I am planning to establish more interaction
between the three clubs by having each club host an area event such as the speech contests and a
speech evaluation workshop. In September, after I return from vacation, I will be working to establish a
4th club in Area 34.
