t Goals—Continued from page 6)

The club officers should review the Club
Success Plan regularly, and make similar
adjustments. The plan and progress updates
should be shared with the club.

Finally, and most importantly, reaching those
goals should be celebrated with all who helped
to reach them. Did you get your graduate
degree? Did you save up enough this year to
meet your retirement plans in the long
run? Did you earn your CC? Did your club

reach Select Distinguished?

Many clubs have a "year-end" celebration around July, where they honor the outgoing
club officers, induct the incoming club officers, and recognize all the awards earned by
members in the past 12 months. It could take the form of a meeting theme, with a
manual speech by the outgoing club president reviewing the highlights, and another
manual speech by the incoming club president outlining the goals for the year. Or it
might be a whole banquet with spouses and past members and other VIPs invited, a real
party, worthy of being organized with a High Performance Leadership (HPL) project!

Whatever form that celebration takes, enjoy it, because you've earned it. And then, it's
onwards to the next goal!
