feel confident that you have checked out new practices and considered other
possibilities. And who would think that a club as far from Oregon as Hilo Toastmasters
would be only one degree of separation away from District 7? Believe it: Club members
there asked me if I knew their former member Syrena Glade, DTM. Yes, indeed!

By the way, be prepared to participate in Table Topics, because
Topicsmasters seem eager to select fellow Toastmaster visitors to speak up.

Whether you go across town or to another state or country, visiting
another club is a strong reminder that Toastmasters is a truly global
organization. The next time you miss your own club’s meeting, make it
up with a trip to a club you’ve never seen before. You never know what
connection you might make there.
