We have all had and move through a fear of public speaking. We can help you. Our supportive members have created an environment of good humor and encouragement that will see you through to many successes.
In this installment of our Power Meeting series, we focus on Speechcraft. Featured are two knowledgeable speakers sharing some tips and tricks they’ve learned along the way.
Next, an audience participation portion so you can practice speaking skills with members who’ve been where you are.
Finally, an evaluation portion where our key-note speakers receive feedback both helpful to them, beneficial to the audience and developing for the evaluators.
Come and see how confidence in public speaking can improve the life you lead

Many members who were not able to attend this year’s TLI in the Portland area are asking about makeup officer training. For our members to thrive, training the club officers and members will deliver the most impact. Luckily, we have a Eugene area makeup session for you! Hosted by the amazing storyteller club over at Gateway ToastMasters, we will be having it at 7pm on August 22nd, 2018. Please let your clubs know, and encourage anyone who is interested in growing as both a Toastmaster and as a Leader to attend. I look forward to seeing you all there!
Club Officer Training is where Toastmasters from across the district come together to network, share ideas, get questions answered, and be inspired. It’s where newly-elected club officers receive the training they require, to set them up for success in their new leadership roles and help them to best serve their club.
Club Officer Training is not only for the current club leaders—it is for anyone who may be interested in becoming a club officer in the future or those club members who just want to learn more about our wonderful organization!
So bring your lunch, note pad and pen, and connect with some of the best people you’ll ever meet!
From Cold Calls to Club Growth! For all District 7 Toastmasters!
Cold calling can seem intimidating – calling strangers and inviting them to collaborate with you may seem scarier than doing your first Ice Breaker speech – but think about the benefits you’ve already received from that first step. This experience will be even more intense and the benefits just as valuable!
Join Past International Director, Jim Kohli, DTM, and learn how to use cold calls to 1) grow new clubs, 2) build self confidence, and 3) develop career skills that can be used in a variety of ways. Jim will walk you through a cold call process, then offer tools, best practices, and practical scenarios to help you get started on an activity that will help you and help District 7 Toastmasters.
