The Area 53 Fall Contests will be held on Saturday, October 4 at 12 Noon at the Concordia University George R. White Library, Room 12o (also known as the Community Room). The fall contests include Humorous Speech and Table Topics. Guests, friends and visitors are welcome! Volunteers are needed, so if you would like to volunteer in any capacity, please contact Area 53 Assistant Governor Jason Kent at firstname.lastname@example.org or call at 208.761.9333.
Parking is available immediately adjacent to the library on NE Liberty St. The library is accessible from NE 27th Ave. and NE 29th Ave. Trimet bus lines 17 and 75 provide service to Concordia University; check www.trimet.org for transit schedules.
Area 41, 42, 43 and 44 combined area contests to be held together. Come check it!
You are invited to attend the Sunset Division (Division H) Humorous Speech and Table Topics Contest on Saturday October 11, 2014 at the Beaverton Community Center located at 12350 SW Fifth St., Beaverton OR 97005 (across the street from the Beaverton Library). This will be a pot luck event, please bring a snack or beverage item to share with your fellow Toastmasters and friends.

Participate in the 2014 Fall Conference “Bigger, Bolder, Better!” and discover how you can dream BIGGER, act BOLDER, and be a BETTER communicator, leader, and human being!
Keynote speaker Sheryl Roush is a sparkling example of what we can achieve when we dream big dreams, take bold actions, and are better individuals. Sheryl will share inspiring ideas and practical pointers to help you:
- Create a clear mental picture of your big dream
- Map out a step-by-step plan to achieve your dream
- Pursue your dream no matter what obstacles you encounter
You will hear the best of D7 in Table Topics and Humorous Speaking. Plus, you will have several opportunities to interact with fellow D7 Toastmasters, discover best practices, and learn vicarious lessons and pitfalls to avoid.
