Toastmasters Educational Program

The Toastmasters educational program is divided into two tracks -- a communication track and a leadership track.

With the new educational program, members can start working on the track that best fits their needs or work on both.   Members can start work on the new program  immediately, but they can't complete it until the 30th of June 2005.

Members who are working on awards in the old educational system have until the 30th of June 2008 to complete that work.  Members can choose to convert to the new program any time between the 1st of July 2006 and the 30th of June 2008.

Program Available Until 30 June 2008

Communications Track

The core of the communication track is the Competent Communication manual (was Basic Communication and Leadership Program), which is often referred to as the "Basic Manual".  It contains 10 speech projects.  Every new member is sent a basic manual soon after his/her application for Membership is turned in.

The track continues with three Advanced Communicator awards.  The member can choose two advanced manuals with 5 speeches in each manual.

The main difference between the old and new tracks is the change in names of the awards.
