If interested in attending any class, please send an email at least 2 weeks in advance. For fundraisers, debate tournaments, and awards banquet please email Courtney.D.McFadden@doc.state.or.us at least one week in advance. You will need to provide your full name, date of birth, and driver’s license number.
Other than selecting the best speakers to represent our areas, our goal is to get this contest completed within 2 hours, or less. Given that we might have up to 16 contestants in total, to achieve the two-hour completion goal, we need your help. Here’s what you can do to help all of us:
Contestants check-in starts at 9:20 am. All contestants must check-in no later than 9:45 am, failure to do so will result in disqualification.
Drawing of the order of presentations for contestants is on a first-come-first-serve basis.
Judges, Ballet Counter, Timer, etc.
Briefing for volunteers starts at 9:45 am. All volunteers please plan to be at the location a few minutes early.
Call for Volunteers:
Our ideal scenario would be to have a judge from each club to ensure equal representation in the judging of the contests. If you can and are willing, please contact the organizer to volunteer. We promise that we will be done by 12:00 noon.
PS: Area 32 & 33 covers Corvallis, Lebanon, and Newport.
The Areas 73, 74 and 75 clubs will be competing in the International Speech and Evaluation Contests on Monday, March 12, 2018 from 6:15 to 8:30 pm. Registration begins at 6:00 pm and there is public parking around the building. This event will be hosted by the Toast of Old Town Toastmasters Club at the NWEA Auditorium. Working towards your “Scoring A Goal With Toastmasters” campaign award patch? We have an opportunity for you to help us conduct the contests by volunteering to be a timer, ballot counter, judge or registrar. Contact Contests Chair Wendy Patton for more details. Let’s have a great time supporting and listening to speeches and evaluations.
Clubs: Please make sure that either the Contest Chair Wendy or the Division Director Paul have your club winner’s names who will be competing no later than Friday, March 9, 2018. If you need a copy of the contest winners form, please contact your Area Director. Remember that the winner of the Area International Speech or Evaluation Contest will advance to the Division contest on April 16th and they must be a member of your club in “good standing” (dues paid 4/1-9/30/2018 and your club have their renewals into Toastmasters International.

This required District Executive Committee Meeting will be held online. Information about the agenda and how to connect will be sent prior to the meeting to the District Executive Committee, which includes the District Trio, Immediate Past District Director, Public Relations Manager, Administration Manager, Division Directors and Area Directors. A quorum is required to conduct business.
Come to the 2018 International Speech and Evaluation Contests for Area 93 & Area 95! Competing for a place on the Division stage at the Division H Contest on April 16th. Come join us for an evening of unforgettable speeches and evaluations, networking and wonderful potluck samplings!

Ready to compete at your area level for the 2018 International Speech and Evaluation contests? Then this is the location for you if you are your club winner in Area 71, 72 or 76. Come over to the Stadium Fred Meyer and go up to the 2nd floor to the Overlook Room (glassed in meeting room) and get ready for a wonderful evening of stirring speeches and spot-on evaluations. Registration will begin at 6:00 pm and the briefings will be for both speech and evaluation contestants at 6:15 pm.
If you are working on your “Scoring A Goal With Toastmasters” campaign award, this is an opportunity for you to get your credit for participating in a speech contest. Toastmaster Beverly needs helpers so give her a call and volunteer.
Clubs need to submit their winners to either their Area Director or Division Director no later than Friday March 23rd. Winners from each Area will compete in the Division Contest April 16, 2018 at The Standard Building. For more information regarding speech/evaluation contests, area and division contests or other Toastmaster questions please contact your Area Director.
Come see, hear and cheer the Area 92 & Area 91 International Speech and Evaluation Contest participants. It’s fun, free and offers fabulous food (bring some – it’s a pot luck!).
Come, watch, and learn as the districts top speakers compete for the honor to represent Division B at the District level. We encourage attendees, so invite your friends to join in the experience of these world class speeches. Contestants and those with roles such as judges, timers, ballot counters, Sgt at Arms, etc should arrive no later than 9:30 AM.

This event will be held in Room 201, second floor, of Building 8 on the Salem Campus. All are welcome to attend. Contestants should arrive promptly by 10 so we can start the contest as soon as possible.
